From humble beginnings to becoming a leading tech education provider in South Africa
Skill Opportunity was founded in 2019 by a team of passionate educators and tech professionals who recognized the growing digital skills gap in South Africa. We started with a simple belief: quality tech education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or prior experience.
What began as a small coding workshop in Johannesburg has evolved into a comprehensive online learning platform that has helped thousands of students launch careers in software development, data science, cybersecurity, and other high-demand tech fields.
